I got enrolled into the technical support training classes for Verizon phones. The classes will last 3 weeks and I now start back in the morning at 6:45am. I don’t know if being a tech support for phones is a step up the ladder and or a special skill learned. I’m thinking of the different paths as if playing role-playing games.

Looking at this picture above.. I’m going down the list (essentially up the ladder). I started in training, and is now in the green section “P”. After I’m done with classes, am I now on another level with possessing new skills?

OR, am I on the same level and just learning the new skills plus new paths to follow…

I mean either/or wouldn’t bother me, I prefer the new level (So I can have more pay, hahaha). But with every new skill learned makes way for more opportunities that can be unlocked.

I’m thinking of taking down the forums. It’s NOT because of the bots, although I do get raided every week. I added the forums because I was going through this whole community input idea, well, it ran it’s course and I’m pretty much over it. I really can’t say the forum failed because we had members and members did interact with one another. I’m ready to just stick to blogging, also with some goals about to be reached in the near future, blogging seems to be the best way to communicate. So for now, I’m not going to be moderating the forums, when I have enough time I’ll let you know when I’m deleting them. This is the Samoan-Ninja signing off.. LAtEZ.

I’m really sick. Coughs, headaches, stuffy-nose, the whole works. It started on Monday and the worst was yesterday, I’m hoping by Sunday this cold/flu will be gone so I can enjoy a potluck at my house for Easter.

Today, I’ve graduated from training class and I’m now in OCP (Operation: Check Point). No joke, it’s really called “Operation: Check Point”. The difference now is I won’t be having 1 on 1 help. It’ll be 1 mentor for 5 reps, then the next week, 1 mentor for 10 reps, and then the week after I’ll be answering phones little or no supervision.

Next Friday (March 28th) is payday and me and acouple of ther co-wokers decided to go eat at some soul-food restaurant. Should be good from other peoples reviews about it and hopefully they will serve good portions.

Don’t expect and pictures or videos anytime soon, camera is broke. Long story short, I got 3 years extended warranty to protect my camera from damage, but last trip I took to BestBuy to fix my camera (lens wouldn’t retract) they said it might not be repaired because I didn’t buy the accidental warranty. Weak. I don’t know what I’ll be using as a replacement camera for everyday use but a Canon Rebel XSi is in my future. I’m seriously thinking about taking up photography. Iono.

I use it a lot to randomly surf the web, keeps me on the internet longer that I’m supposed to be.

So, got a job. Working at Sitel, the company who handles calls for companies for thier support for whatever products. Like they handle Sony PS3 product calls, Sierra Health medical calls, and others.. I was recruited for Verizon calls, so people will be calling me for phone serivces such as how many minutes the customers have, downgrading/upgrading phone services, and the likes.

Riight now just got done with my drug testing, and next up is some new finger-printing verification test. I don’t know what it is but it sounds cool.

Oh yeah, so at Sitel while we were taking the tour, I was hanging out with the people in the back of the group. There was about 7 of them, including me, and all they could talk about was escaping ways of taking the drug/background test. Hahaha.. Like one guy said he’s not going to pass the drug test if he has to take it within 48 hours, and someone replied that if he let somebody “clean” piss in a condom for him and then he ties it around his balls (to keep the urine warm), he could get away with the drug test, because it worked for him in jail.. Other people were talking about how they got felonies and if they could still get hired, some one else replied if its in another state, its all good because they only check Nevada, and then everybody started talking about felonies they have in California and Arizona, hahaha.. Dirty ass peoples, lol.

If you didn’t know I now own a laptop. I got it from my dad’s work because they were giving out laptops that were out-of-warranty. It’s not bad, I’ve been using it a lot lately and the only problem I’ve come across (not really) is that I can’t play my games like half-life and other 3d card required games. I’m working on a way to make that happen because I use my laptop to play songs/movies from my desktop computer, why not games, right?

My work is scaring me. I don’t know if I’ll have this job any longer, if I don’t then I’ll be pushing boxes at UPS (hopefully). The fact of the matter is that Sears is hiring more people, and it’s coming up on winter time (the time where it’s the slowest). So I don’t know, I’m kind of worried but not really. We’ll see.

I still don’t know what i am going to be for Halloween. Hmmm, any ideas guys? Also if you look around you can see I’m working on my website… I haven’t really added anything but just placeholders, hopefully I’ll get around to them quick before another some odd months pass by and the links are still blank, hahaha.

I got hit badly in my bank and credit card with fees and I don’t get paid till after next week, again, not this coming week but after.. Damn.

Working at Sears Automotive is awesome. I can test/change batteries pretty quickly, the only slow part is operating the computer to test it… The tires I can repair/replace quickly too, the only slow down is looking where the clamps go underneath the car so I can raise the vehicle up to take off the wheels… I’m in the process of learning oil change, because I can’t tell the different between the oil pan, and the transmission pan, so I don’t want to drain the wrong pan… Hahaha.

I kind of got scared when I worked on a car by myself.. I was to take the two front tires off and rotate the two back tires to the front and then put on new tires in the back. I did all of that, and kept checking my work over and over, and when I was sure I drove it to the front and handed the keys to the owners… Man, all I could do was keep watching the car take off and hope to God the wheels don’t fall off somehow, that was hella scary. I know I at least triple checked everything but you know somehow you’re always unsure of the things you did… So yeah, I haven’t heard any complaints from anyone so I must be doing a good job.

My schedule looks good from what I could tell, Wednesday and Saturday is my days off and Thursday, Friday, And Sunday, I work from 10AM-5PM… So I know I’m not going to miss that much for the reunion… But I should have plenty of time to kick it with the family… Well, I got work tomorrow, so I’ll type out more later.. I think UPS is really a no go… So I’ve deicded to try and go for Sears: Battery/Tire Service. I have an interview tomorrow around noon-ish, hopefully by me getting this job it doesn’t interfere with the whole reunion plans, damnit that would suck if it did. Hopefully this job pays well, and it’s part-time, I also hope something great comes out of this, it’s no PC Tech job but it’s something I’ve also had an interest for… Cars.
