Ugh. I really need to stop procrastinating on making blog posts. Lots of stuff has happened since my last update, and now I wish I posted each time those events were happening while it was all fresh in my head. Oh well, the only pictures and videos I have are of my San Francisco trip, that’s good enough I guess. Anyways, here’s what happened to me so far.
In August, I was in Jerry’s wedding. Everything went perfect… Well, everything except for ONE thing. I’m being really “biased” on this because it had to do with me. You see I was given the task of the “Best Man Speech” without being the Best Man. About 2 weeks before the wedding I would jot down different ideas and whatnot. Fast forward to the actual wedding, I had a bunch of scribbled up notes, and in the heat of the moment I said “Fuck it” and winged the whole thing. If you asked me how it went, the replay in my head has me standing for 10 minutes saying “Uhhhh”. I’m probably hella judging it really harshly, I bet it’s really not ALL that bad… You know what? Scratch that, my speech hella sucked. If you’re ever in that position please prepare WAY ahead of time. Well at least I can say the speech I gave qualified as an item on my Bucket List. I’ll go ahead and cross off “Address a speech to at least a hundred people”. It didn’t have to be a good speech, just A speech haha. (There is a video of my speech, and NO, I’m not going to post it.)
In late October my employment status changed from Temp to being hired on full-time. One thing that I really love about the place is the co-workers. I’m surrounded by a bunch of like-minded nerds and it really makes working enjoyable.
In November, I went to the Bay Area. I was supposed to attend a surprise Birthday party for an elderly Aunt but there was a change of plans, and I didn’t get to go but something else did happen. I got to hit up one of my favorite buffets called Hot Pot City, then walked around the 49ers museum at Levi’s Stadium. Then the next day a bunch of family members came over and we had ourselves an early Thanksgiving. On my last day, got a sandwich from Little Luccas, and then hit up Baker beach then made it back to the my cousin’s house in time to watch the Warriors play/WWE Survivor Series. It was a small yet very awesome trip.
That’s not even all the photos I took. All the pictures from my trip are in the gallery and can be viewed here. Before I go I’d like to say Happy New Year to everyone, and that one of my New Year Resolutions is to travel A LOT. Next post I’ll make a list of places I would like to go, and hell, maybe I’ll even go get my damn passport renewed. Anyways guys, be safe, and don’t treat people like shit. Make this New Year a good one, no matter what. Later.
This was one amazing game. At the end when Vernon Davis made that catch everyone was jumping up and down in the living room, we were all giving each other high-fives, it was fucking magical. I think I was crying a little bit too.
The three videos below is of The Catch 3, two have audio dubbed over from the KNBR feed and one is a reaction video. I really love the last video because it gets super awkward while The Saints fans stand there stunned while the 49er fan goes crazy. Also in the reaction video around the 17 second mark, The 49er fan tries to give a high five but The Saints fan leaves him hanging, lol.
Oh and I said this on Twitter so I’ll say it here too, I’m not going to say anything bad about Alex Smith again. Next week’s game against The Giants, I’ll be at a bar watching the game and getting drunk. Later.
This weekend I had my sights on going to a 49er bar but that plan got changed, and now I’ll be at home watching the game while BBQ’in some ribs! Hell yeah.
I also made a decision that I’m all in for the 49ers to take it THIS year. I was a bit skeptical (mainly because of you know who), but after thinking about our freakin’ sick-nasty defense and Harbaugh with his creative plays, we’re all good. When we beat the Saints this weekend then ESPN and all the other sports news outlets will have no choice to but talk about us.
I want the 49ers to go to the Super Bowl and win it but how can I when our QB is Alex Smith. We’ve been to the Super Bowl five times and won them all. It wouldn’t sound right to add a loss to our Super Bowl appearances and it’ll stick out like a sore thumb especially among 49er fans. We’ll treat the loss like the scene in movie The Mighty Ducks where coach Bombay and coach Riley meet at the hockey rink, and they look over in disappointment at the 2nd place banner next to the 1st place banners, and coach Riley says the words “Oh boy, I wish they would take that one down”.
Honestly I’d rather have them lose now, get another quarterback, and come back with an offense we can depend on. If our Super Bowl record was like The Steelers of going eight times, winning six and losing two, then winning and losing wouldn’t be too big of a deal (Although winning is still nice), but we’re undefeated in the Super Bowl. Feel me?
